Meet and Greet

Free of Charge*

Our private in-home pet sitting services begin with a free* meet and greet visit, which typically lasts 45-60 minutes. During this visit, we will come to your home in order to meet you and your pet(s), as well as get to know the layout of your home. We want to make sure you and your pets are comfortable and confident with us and our services. You will also be given the opportunity to review our Certificate of Liability Insurance & Bonding, as well as our current certification in Pet CPR & First AID. We will discuss any specific needs that your pet(s) or home require, pet personality traits, and answer any questions you may have about Best In Show’s Client Services Agreement. We may also take this opportunity to help you complete your client profile through our electronic self-serve client portal.

It is at this meeting where we will collect 2 sets of keys. You should feel safe entrusting your home to Best In Show Pet Sitting. Keys are number coded without your name or address and are kept in a lock box when not in use during a visit. We encourage you to leave your keys on file with us for a number of reasons:

  • It allows you to schedule visits with ease and not have the added stress of finding time in both of our schedules to get us the keys.
  • It allows us to be available to care for your pets in the event of an emergency or upon short notice.
  • Locked out of the house? Not to worry. Best in Show has you covered! We’ll get you back inside because you did the right thing by keeping a set of keys on file with us. Of course, your keys can be returned to you at any time upon your request.

*Please note: Any supplemental meet & greets or last-minute meet & greets, will incur a $20.00 visit fee. A meet & greet is considered last minute when requested within 5 days of the first visit.

We have been relying on Best in Show Pet Sitting since 2015, first for the care of one kitty, and now two! The rates are extremely reasonable for the peace of mind you get from a true professional. Hillary always sends text updates with photos and videos of the pets, so you know they are happy and doing well. She also takes care of all sorts of house-sitting tasks, like gathering mail, taking garbage bins to curb and back in, watering plants, etc. She has an easy-to-use website for scheduling/communication, and she accepts payment in multiple forms. Reliability and communication are really what sets a good service provider apart from others, and this is where Best in Show really excels!
